DR. GREGORY A. CHRISTIANSEN – DES MOINES AND MARSHALLTOWN GLAUCOMA AND CATARACT SPECIALIST

Gregory A. Christiansen, MD is a board-certified fellowship trained glaucoma specialist whose focus includes cataract surgery and the medical and surgical management of glaucoma disease. Dr. Christiansen joined Wolfe Eye Clinic in 2022 and sees patients at our West Des Moines, Ankeny and Marshalltown office locations.

Dr. Christiansen graduated with his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Utah followed by an internship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Mayo Clinic, in Rochester Minnesota where he was named Chief Resident. Dr. Christiansen enhanced his skills and training further by completing a Glaucoma Fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Outside of work, Dr. Christiansen enjoys animals, especially dogs and horses, and participating in outdoor activities including skiing, camping, tennis and sailing.
