Kyle J. Alliman, M.D. received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Northern Iowa and his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Following an internship at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, he completed an ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Widely regarded as one of the leading eye centers in the world, Dr. Alliman furthered his education at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship. As a board-certified and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon, Dr. Alliman has been seeing patients with Wolfe Eye Clinic since 2010.

Dr. Alliman is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the American Medical Association. He has published articles and scientific papers and has presented on a variety of topics including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachment. Dr. Alliman is an active volunteer across the globe. He has participated in many medical mission trips to Haiti and has taken part in numerous projects with fellow eye doctors including a Public Health Education and Prevention Program (Cape Coast, Ghana), a rural Community Medicine Project (Cebu City, Philippines) and a Christian outreach program for eye disease (Haiti).

With recent technological advancements in Ophthalmology, Dr. Alliman enjoys caring for his patients and giving those with previously untreatable eye diseases the ability to maintain their vision and quality of life. Outside of work, Dr. Alliman, his wife and three daughters are avid Iowa Hawkeye fans and enjoy spending time together, traveling and staying active outdoors.
