Otolaryngology is the branch of medicine that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck disorders. A commonly used term for this specialty is ENT. Specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Procedures include:

Michael W. Hill, M.D., ENT, is a board-certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon specializing in ENT and cosmetic surgery. He is an Iowa native, having completed his doctorate degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine followed by an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California. Dr. Hill completed his residency specialty training in head and neck surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
Dr. Hill is well-known for his expertise in eyelid surgery and facial skin resurfacing. He founded the Otolaryngology and Facial Cosmetic Surgery Department at Wolfe Eye Clinic in Marshalltown, Iowa, in 1977. He is an active lecturer on many medical topics for lay and professional audiences. Dr. Hill is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Hill serves as an active faculty member for Dr. Zein Obagi in Beverly Hills, California.
Dr. Hill's research in sleep apnea at Stanford University in 1976 resulted in the formulation of the first textbook on obstructive sleep disorders entitled, Sleep Apnea, published by the Kroc Foundation in Santa Barbara, California. He has performed more than 10,000 major surgeries and is known for employing an artistic approach to cosmetic surgery. Dr Hill is certified in foto-facial intense pulsed light therapy.
