To Do List: LASIK

Planning for LASIK surgery can be easier than you think.

Is having LASIK surgery something that’s been on your radar for a while now? Perhaps the process and expense are holding you back? For many of our patients, now is the best time of year to consider having LASIK surgery.

Planning for LASIK through employer-offered Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Accounts (HSA) is a popular financing option. This time of year is important for two reasons. First, health benefits planning for the new year is right around the corner. Seeing if you are a candidate for LASIK and getting an idea of the financial cost of surgery will help you to allot and set aside those pre-tax dollars in 2018.

Second, we often experience patients who were proactive in their last year’s health care expense planning and did not use all their set aside dollars. They now have FSA or HSA dollars that need to be used before the year’s end. Most people know that LASIK surgery is not typically covered by primary health insurance, but perhaps do not realize that these FSA and HSA dollars can be used for the cost of having LASIK.

Wolfe Eye Clinic is also here to offer our patients another option of financing for LASIK. We partner with Wells Fargo Bank to provide both a short-term option with 0% interest and a long-term option with interest. Get started with your application here today!

So, how do you begin? First, it’s important to see if you are a good fit. Schedule a LASIK evaluation with our experienced team to determine if you are a good candidate and determine if LASIK is right for you. In the meantime, you can request an information kit, reach out to our Lasik patient coordinator at (833) 532-8809 with questions or visit our LASIK FAQs for more information.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
