Iowa eye disease treatment in Des Moines's East Village

Welcome Dr. Reid Turner!

We are pleased to announce that Reid P. Turner, M.D. has joined Wolfe Eye Clinic and is now seeing patients in our West Des Moines, Pleasant Hill, Ottumwa, and Marshalltown offices.

Dr. Turner is a fellowship trained cornea sub-specialist who has spent the last year in practice in Omaha. Wolfe Eye Clinic is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Dr. Turner, his wife, and their two sons back to their hometown area near family and friends.

Dr. Turner is originally from the Des Moines metro and he met his wife, Dr. Stephanie Turner while attending Central College in Pella. He received his Bachelor of Arts at Central College and went on to receive his Medical Degree with a distinction in teaching at the University of Iowa. During his internship at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, he even completed a one-month rotation at Wolfe Eye Clinic in 2012.

Dr. Turner excelled during his ophthalmology residency at the respected Storm Eye Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina. He was elected Chief Resident by his peers and won a national award for his research on laser cataract surgery. While a cornea fellow, Dr. Turner performed cornea transplants at the St. John’s Eye Hospital in Jerusalem as part of a medical missions trip.
