Todd W. Gothard, M.D., is a fellowship-trained eye care specialist in refractive, corneal and cataract surgery. He has been in eye care practice since 1991 and has been with Wolfe Eye Clinic since 1993.
Dr. Gothard completed his undergraduate degree at Gannon University and earned his medical degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following an internship in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, he then completed a one-year fellowship in refractive, corneal and cataract surgery at the Phillips Eye Institute and the University of Minnesota under the direction of Dr. Richard Lindstrom.
He is an eye doctor specializing in refractive, corneal and cataract surgery and has been performing refractive surgery since 1990. He has been actively involved in clinical trials with the excimer laser and has been a clinical investigator for several clinical trials. He has been a clinical investigator for several clinical trials in the evaluation of the LASIK procedure. He has written and lectured in the education of other surgeons and physicians in the practice of refractive surgery and the use of the excimer laser.
