LeAnn J. Larson, MD


LeAnn J. Larson, M.D. is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist. She graduated summa cum laude from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She completed both her Doctorate of Medicine degree and her residency in ophthalmology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Larson went on to practice ophthalmology in Madison, Wisconsin and then Cleveland, Ohio before joining Wolfe Eye Clinic in 1999.

Dr. Larson has professional eye care affiliations with American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Larson is a volunteer with global experience. She has volunteered on multiple cataract surgery and medical mission trips to Haiti, Honduras, India, Vietnam, Zambia, Columbia and Bolivia with EyeCare International and Surgical Eye Expeditions.

Dr. Larson enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is an active but not particularly accomplished tennis player, an avid knitter and enjoys nearly all types of music. She has two wonderful sons and an ever-loyal animal shelter lab mix.
