Meet Anne M. Langguth, M.D.

Wolfe Eye Clinic adds Iowa City native to provide localized pediatric and strabismus care to Eastern Iowa

Wolfe Eye Clinic is excited to introduce you to Anne M. Langguth, M.D. who recently joined our specialty eye care family. Dr. Langguth focuses her practice on the medical and surgical management of pediatric eye disorders, as well as child and adult strabismus. As a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist, Langguth draws upon her interests and skills as a patient educator, advocate, clinician and surgeon to provide sight-saving care for children and families. She sees patients in our Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Waterloo locations. Wolfe Eye Clinic patients won’t find a bigger smile and sense of warmth than when meeting Dr. Langguth.  

Dr. Langguth grew up in the Iowa City area and from an early age aspired to become a doctor. After graduating from Iowa City West, she went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Langguth then completed an internal medicine internship at New York University followed by her ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. Excelling in her program, she was awarded the Outstanding Resident Teaching award in 2017, followed by the Outstanding Resident Research award in 2018. Prior to joining Wolfe Eye Clinic, Dr. Langguth returned to the University of Iowa in her hometown to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.

Outside of the clinic Dr. Langguth, her husband Michael, and their three children reside in the Iowa City area. In her free time, you might find Dr. Langguth running, jogging, or playing the violin for the Southeast Iowa Symphony. Wolfe Eye Clinic is extremely grateful for her addition to our growing clinic operations in Iowa. With her expertise we are now able to provide localized pediatric and strabismus care to patients throughout eastern Iowa.
