Welcome Dr. Thomas Meirick, Refractive Cataract & LASIK Surgeon

Wolfe Eye Clinic welcomes Thomas M. Meirick, M.D., a board- certified ophthalmologist specializing in the surgical treatment of cataract, cornea, and LASIK refractive procedures. Dr. Meirick serves patients in our West Des Moines and Carroll locations.

Dr. Meirick is a native to Iowa and attended the University of Iowa where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Economics. He went on to pursue his medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine followed by an internship at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Meirick completed his Residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Washington. He finished his training by completing a Cornea, Refractive and Anterior Segment Fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Beyond patient care Dr. Meirick enjoys traveling, watching movies and playing board games. Wolfe Eye Clinic is extremely grateful for his addition to our central Iowa locations that are continually growing. With his expertise in refractive surgery we are able to expand our  LASIK services and additional care to our patients.
