Thomas R. Munger, OD


Dr. Thomas Munger, originally from Fremont, Nebraska, graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed a post-doctoral residency in Family Practice Optometry West Tennessee Eye in Memphis. Prior to his professional degree, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska.

Dr. Munger is a member of the American Optometric Association, American Association of Optometry and Iowa Optometric Association. He has extensive experience in the medical management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic eye disease and instructed an advanced ophthalmic practice class for the use and interpretation of Fundus Photography and Ultrasonography. He also co-instructed for Southern College of Optometry.

In addition to routine eye care services including annual examinations, eyeglasses and contact lens fittings, Dr. Munger provides care for patients with acute and chronic eye diseases such as cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.
