DR. JUSTIN D. BLOOMBERG - DES MOINES AND PLEASANT HILL OPHTHALMOLOGIST

Justin D. Bloomberg, DO is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist whose focus includes cataract surgery and the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. He joined Wolfe Eye Clinic in the summer of 2026 and serves patients at our West Des Moines and Pleasant Hill office locations. 

Dr. Bloomberg completed his undergraduate work at the University of Northern Iowa followed by a Doctorate of Optometry in Chicago, IL. He completed his Doctorate of Medicine from Des Moines University and ophthalmology residency training at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. Since completion of his training, Dr. Bloomberg has practiced at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System in Des Moines and serves as a faculty member with the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology where he’s active in training the next generation of ophthalmologists.

Dr. Bloomberg is an Iowa native and enjoys being part of the community. Outside of work, he enjoys time outdoors with his wife and four children, watching their music and sporting events, traveling, and cooking.
