DR. DANIEL R. SLIWINSKI – FAIRFIELD OPTOMETRIST

Daniel R. Sliwinski, O.D. received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, where he received clinical honors and was a member of the Academic Deans List. Prior to becoming an eye doctor, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in biomedical sciences from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he graduated cum laude. Dr. Sliwinski is an active member of the Iowa Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.

Dr. Sliwinski joined Wolfe Family Vision Center in 2014 as an optometrist. He has special interests in dry eye treatment and management as well as ocular surface diseases and specialty contact lens fittings. He sees patients with Wolfe Family Vision Center in Fairfield, Iowa. Community is important to Dr. Sliwinski. He enjoys getting to know his patients and giving back to his local community and abroad. Locally, he volunteers to provide school vision screenings at area elementary schools. In 2010, he traveled on a medical mission trip to Juampus, Haiti to help those in need of eye care assistance.

Dr. Sliwinski chose to become an optometrist to not only manage and treat his patients’ visual problems but help his patients better understand the ocular issues they are facing and the options available to them. At the end of the day, Dr. Sliwinski enjoys improving his patients’ quality of life through better vision.

Outside of work, Dr. Sliwinski and his wife, Sarah, have two young children. They enjoy spending time with each other and friends and are involved in traveling baseball. Together, they hike, fish and enjoy other outdoor activities.
