DR. SARA E. OLSON – DES MOINES PEDIATRIC OPTOMETRIST

Sara E. Olson, O.D. was raised in South Dakota and determined her career in optometry out of high school after seeing her mother work for several years with a local optometry group. Dr. Olson received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Minnesota State University and her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry. After schooling, Dr. Olson completed internships at Fort Richardson Army Base in Alaska, Lebanon VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania, Allina Medical Center in Minnesota and Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon.

Dr. Olson moved to the Des Moines area in 2007 and worked in family optometry before joining Children’s Eye Clinic in 2010. In 2019, Children’s Eye Clinic merged with Wolfe Eye Clinic and Dr. Olson continues to see patients actively. Dr. Olson is married, has two children and a dog named Dill. She enjoys spending time with family, sewing and raising quail.
