Riley S. Bylund, MD is a board-certified surgeon and fellowship- trained retina specialist based out in our West Des Moines office. Dr. Bylund joined Wolfe Eye Clinic in 2023 as part of our Vitreoretinal Fellowship Program and serves patients in our West Des Moines, Ames, Fort Dodge, Pleasant Hill, Ottumwa and Spencer office locations.
Dr. Bylund received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and went on to complete a Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical University of Kentucky in Lexington where he graduated with high honors. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Mason Eye Institute at the University of Missouri and is eager to continue his career at Wolfe Eye Clinic. Dr. Bylund looks forward to meeting new patients across Iowa and providing the best retina treatments available.
Dr. Bylund enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and being outside. His hobbies include scuba diving, mountain biking and other endurance sports.
